In the Amazon there is a lot of vegetation, there are medicinal and poisonous plants, plants that serve as dye, trees.

There are 14,003 species of plants with seeds and there are more than 60,000 plant species.

The Amazon is a place where there is a lot of biodiversity. Different and many animals live there such as monkeys, jaguars, sloths, spiders, Totugas, parrots ... There are many species of each animal, there are more than 5 thousand species.

One of the most dangerous animals of the Amazon are the banana spider, Tityus scorpions, caiman, etc.

WEATHER

The weather in the Amazon is a bit weird because from January to June is more water and colder, people who go in these times is because they are better for water sports, and from July to December is low season in terms of water, so there are fewer mosquitoes. We have been there now in April and the weather is regular to bad because sometimes we have to take shelter because of the heavy rains.

QUICKSAND

One of the coolest thing in the Amazonas is the quicksand. 

Although people usually thing that the ones who tread on quicksand may sink into it and drown because they struggle to escape, in reality the quicksands are not very dangerous and it is very difficult to be killed by them. This is because teh move really slowly and you have to be sinked hours into them. 

However, it is well-known that the more you struggle the quicker you sink, so you probably need the help of someone else to get out of it.
Quicksand is sometimes found at the mouth of rivers and on coastal sand flats.They are formed on the banks of deep rivers such as the Amazonas.

It consists of fine powdery sand saturated with water so that it is no longer solid and compact.
